Israel is one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world, but it has not been known for quality through most of the modern era. Fortunately, the characterization of overly simple, excessively sweet wines has never been entirely accurate, and no less so than today.

Israel has some fine top shelf production, but also produces quality in the range that interests us. Affordable and delicious selections like Mount Hermon Red from Galilee can be found in stores and online relatively easily. So, enjoy!
