Jacob's Creek Shiraz Cabernet

I'll admit it, I am not completely devoid of the wine snob gene, for having read some good things about Jacob's Creek Wines of Australia, I was put off by the screw top bottle.

Considering the potential for oxidation, I wouldn't recommend this top over a cork for any bottle that is not drained the day it is open; however, that quibble aside, the wine within was of decent quality, and a great value at about seven dollars retail.

I'd especially recommend the Shiraz-Cabernet blend which improves a bit with some aeration, and has a pleasant but light nose, a Barossa Valley fruitiness to taste, with a weak but clean finish.
