Wine: To Drink or Not To Drink

Count Dracula may warn against it, but then, he doesn't seem the picture of health.

As it turns out, moderate red-wine consumption has been associated with lesser degrees of diabetes, heart-disease, hyper-tension, and a few other maladies.

Of course, Americans tend to be anything but moderate, and that is the key. Too much alcohol consumption of any kind has been associated with increasing risk of certain cancers, but a glass a day, seems to be the sweet spot for balancing the costs and benefits of imbibing.
