Bodega Norton was founded in 1895 in the Mendoza River Valley in Argentina. The estate winery is located at the foothills of the Andes, and the wine is aged 12 months in French oak barrels, then additionally in bottles before release.
Norton's Reserva wines are characterized by their elegance and complexity, especially the Malbec Reserva featured in this post. It's strong flavor notes and consistent quality have garnered several awards.
It's also widely distributed in the U.S., and should be easy to find at any decent wine store, and for a price that's set to move. You shouldn't pay more than 14 dollars for this, as it is readily available for less.
