Montes Malbec

Montes Wines is a relatively new venture, established in 1988, but a tasty one. It leverages the superb Chilean climate and terroir to produce an array of fine vintages at reasonable cost to the consumer.

A decent nose, with deep flavor and an even finish are their trademarks, and though the specific varietals may run a little closer to twenty dollars a bottle, the Montes Classic Malbec can often be found around ten dollars.

Chile is another one of those underrated regions that has yet to be fully discovered by wine-lovers the world over. Do a little homework, and slurp to your heart's content.
